“Something old wedding fayre” re-visited.

Hello guys!!

Hope you had a nice weekend and have survived the first half of the week with not to much fuss.

The wedding fayre was brill I met lots of nice people and other wedding suppliers, plus two wonderful cake makers…one called “the Cheshire cat cake company” based in Sale. The other place was called “The hazelnut bakery” Based in Delph, Saddleworth. I will be going to visit them in January as have been a fan of their work for a while.

I also met a lady called Claire she is a photographer and took photos of all the stalls at the fayre and has wrote it up on her blog. Her photos are much better better than mine..obviously lol. So here is the link to her blog.

Something old vintage wedding fare

Hello folks,
One week to go until I will be exhibiting at my first wedding fare. Today I went shopping with a good friend who is also exhibiting. We found some lovely china side plates and tea cups. Also found some material n ribbons for the stall.

I have also been busy making a few cakes this week. A rainbow cake similar to the one I made last week. Also a 80th birthday cake …the requirements were it needed to have a pigeon on it. So inspired by coronation street and where I live decided to have the pigeon sitting on a red brick wall. My husband said "well it looks northern"

Well I better be off as still have jobs to do today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hello Folks!!

Hope your are well,
My husband and I are in Norwich at the moment for the wedding of two of our friends who I met working with at the Savoy hotel in London. I found out last night that they have ordered the cake from the fabulous cake/chocolate shop in Brighton called Choccy Woccy do da. I’ve been dying to try some of their cake for a few years now. She has also told me the TV crew will be there. Not sure if I should try and avoid them or not lol.

Gingerbread tree decorations.

“Home sweet home” re-visited.

Hi guys!!
It’s Friday afternoon again and your probably stuck in traffic right now!!
Earlier this week a friend treated me to coffee n cookies at “Home sweet home” in the Northern Quarter.

We meet up for a chat to talk about how to get ourselves organised for the wedding fair we are both exhibiting at in

If you remember I told you about the cookies that are freshly baked to order and served with a glass of milk. Well I’m so glad we ordered them, gooey and lots of melted chocolate chips in the middle. Perfect for dipping in either the milk, coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Well we are friends spread the germs 😉

Well I’m on the way to work at the moment (on the bus not driving) and will be busy baking and decorating tomorrow for the market on Sunday.
Will let you know how we get on also share with you the pumpkin pie recipe at some point…hopefully before they go out of season.

Have a nice weekend, hope to see you if you fancy popping down to the market on Sunday.

Have fun
